Counter Tops

Every kitchen has its own style and rest assured we here at Kitchen Frontiers got a range of kitchen counter-tops to complement your space. With earth-stone, quartz, wood and laminate worktops we will design, manufacture and install.

Granite & Marble Tops

Granite and Marble has a rich beauty that few other countertop materials can match. It is a natural product with a timeless aura and appeal. Granite is a very hard substance and is not susceptible to scratches. While not ideal to work on because it will dull knife blades, it will take normal wear and tear very well. Granite resists heat without being damaged or weakened. Because it is so unique,  it cannot be matched again.  You can go to our suppliers to choose your own unique slab and you will be guaranteed to be the only person with those exact tops.

Quartz

Quartz countertops are exquisitely elegant man-made engineered stone countertops formed by combining ground quartz (a natural hard mineral) with resins, polymers, and pigments. This forms a very hard granite-like surface. The appearance depends on how the quartz is ground: coarsely ground quartz produces a flecked appearance, while finely ground quartz produces a smooth look.  Unlike granite, it is much easier to match Quartz tops again in future.

Formica

Formica is product composed of several layers of kraft paper impregnated with melamine thermosetting resin and topped with a decorative layer protected by melamine, then compressed and cured with heat to make a hard, durable surface.  Ultimately it is then laminate wrapped around Chip board and can be matt or high gloss.

Wood

Wood countertops add a natural warmth and comfort to a kitchen. Are they expensive? Yes, depending on the type of wood. But bear in mind that these tops are easily restored, look gorgeous and add value to a home. A sealed wood finish is essentially water-proof and stain-proof and requires little or no maintenance. Whether the effect is accomplished with varnish, polyurethane, or sealer, these countertops are not intended as cutting boards. The combination of wood and stone tops have also become increasingly popular.
